In what Language do you play the Sims 2?
« on: September 13, 2009, 03:17:16 PM »
Kinda curious in what language you guys play the Sims2.

My main game is installed in Dutch, i kinda regret it, but oh well.
I honestly don't feel reinstalling everything just to have it in English.

My AGS games are in english. (:

So what about you?

I play it in Dutch, still want it in English, but I don't want to reinstall everything and I don't know if I will understand the English texts when you make a promotion or something like that. So maybe Dutch works better for me.  ^^

Nortix, look what i've found, it's easy and it works.

http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Change_Game_Language

The only thing you'll still have is a dutch loading screen, and the default neighboorhood, their lots are still dutch, which is logic.

It helped me out, and hopefully it will help you out too. :D

I think english games are good to improve your english skills. :O
Maybe hard at first, but easier later on. :O

I play my game in French like this I understand everything (or almost because I learnt a French word I ignored before lol, the state before both sims are completely in love)
I know it's not good for me but I prefer playing TS2 and TS1 in my native language. I don't find the force to change French into Spanish or English yet. Maybe one day.

Thank you Chrisa for offering me these wonderful siggi and avatar!

Swedish :'D  It's great, though. But I think I could handle English to. Sometimes it's pretty annoying with Swedish when you want to make tutorials about sims in English.. Especially when you do tuts. about BodyShop xD.

But I wonder, what does the defult    neighborhoods called in your game language (Pretty funny if it isn't English)? Fun to know, may :P

Hey Sami ! I'm pretty sure townies and PNJ (PNJ = the sims we can't play with them,I forget how we use to call them in English !!!) have stupid names in Dutch ...I hate the name they have in French most of their names are annoying me !

I love the Swedish language, but some things will be hard for me to understand.
But I like to hear and read Swedish.  =)

And yes, NPC's have really silly names in Dutch. But I prefer to make my own chars (mostly with English names).

I think whatever the language you choose to play, the NPC names (thanks for the English name of PNJ) are silly, the main reason is making the game more funny  :bleh: ...Bad idea in my opinion !
