Playing Sims in window mode?
« on: September 07, 2009, 10:25:14 PM »
I used to play Sims in window mode instead of full screen. But after some time I had a bug in the game
and had to reinstall the whole game. Right now I changed back to full screen.
I am wondering what method is better? I mainly need a good way to switch between the game and windows when
I am taking screenshots.
What do you guys use? : O
What would you recommend?

Self i like full screen best :awesomee:

You can use the ALT+TAB in the game to go back to windows,so you have the full screen and windows at your side to edit your ingame pictures at the same time

I personally play Sims 2 on window mode. I like it better.. Also because Fraps is not always working when i want to take pictures.. And when being on full screen.. I can't see if Fraps has taken pictures or not.

Also this way i just can hang around on forums, and if i want to follow a build tutorial it's also easier to do.. :x Instead of writing everything down first on paper, or printing the tut.. :x

I prefer playing sims with the full mode rather than playing sims thanks to the window mode, because the sight is better than the window mode especially when you use a large flat screen.
Well I advise you to try the window mode regardless to have your personal opinion about that.
Thank you Chrisa for offering me these wonderful siggi and avatar!

Thanks for all the replies : D I will try the window mode once again and will see how the quality
of the game is, and especially the quality of the pictures if I am taking screenshots.
I know it can be quite stressful because my notebook is 17'' and the screen is has more width than height : (

I always use uhm, right click on your shortcut in your desktop and then uh, -w after "doel" don't know how you call it in English, it might be something like goal.   rofl
It will be "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Accessories\TSBin\Sims2Launcher.exe" -w  Then it will start up in a window.

Window mode is pretty nice, but I have a screen resolution of 1440x900 and I play Sims on 800x600 because of my graphics card, so then it's a very small screen and then it's not nice any more to play in window mode.  =P

What a coincidence I play the Sims 2 on 1440x900 XD My normal screen resolution is 1680x1050.  :prankster:
