Just a hello

Sami keeps trying to tempt me back to sims2 with a bit of help from Kate and Sesame so I figured I had better come by and say hello!

For those who don't know me, I'm Gayle from sims2artists.  I don't do much creating lately because I have become very lazy and spend more time drinking and bugging people on forums! When I can be bothered I do a bit of meshing and ocassional recolours. I have a bit of an obsession with slots and love adding them to anything and everything 

On a personal level I live on the South coast in the UK about a mile and a half from award winning beaches with my 7 year old autistic son.  I am a widow of 3 years so there is just me and the monstor at home these days.  I used to work as a criminal defence lawyer but gave up work to care full time for the little man.

I started to play sims1 when my son was born as he has never slept for more than 2 hours/night and I needed to find something to help keep me awake all those long hours.  I never got into creating for it though and switched to sims2 as soon as it was released.  I started to recolour about 2 1/2 yrs ago for sims 2 and then moved onto meshing about a year later. I run S2A with 3 very good friends, HugeLunatic, Yagami and Dinad and have a wonderful talented team there which includes that trouble maker Sesame!

Oh no there's no temptation from you at all...  It takes real willpower to resist all these beautiful recolours you know 

In fact I would compare it to sitting here being able to smell the goat curry slowing cooking away in my kitchen, making my mouth water and my tummy grumble desperate for the first taste of all those tempting spices... 

PS I love cooking and like to cook tradional west indian dishes but have never managed to cook a goat curry like my gran makes - she is an amazing cook!

I'm in Dorset in the Bournemouth/Poole area.  Lovely place to live and we have awesome beaches - trouble is we can only use them in winter, in the summer they are full of holiday makers!  Seriously in the summer you can see who is local and who's not because the locals head down to the beach about 4.30/5pm when the holiday makers are heading back to their hotels - I don't think I have ever paid for a bucket and spade because we stock up each year on those left behind by the "grockles"  We're just a bit further south/south-west than wiltshire it borders North Dorset.

It is a popular holiday spot here and it can make it quite fun in the summer because we tend to have quite a few events on to cater for the holiday makers.  This year we have had a dinosaur exhibition which my son loved with the Natural History Museum sending us a heap of brilliant exhibits and we have a fab airshow. This year the red arrows performed all 3 days, you could see them from our house and one of the routines they do we were on the turn path for so they were literally flying right above my garden!  We also got to see the vulcan fly which was amazing and I'm not into that sort of thing!

If you do ever come down this way let me know, I can maybe help out with the best places to stay/visit etc.

I'm not going on vacation to England for a while though : --- C (what a bummer! d;). Next summer I'll go on holiday for the first time without parents! So me and my "crew" will head for cheap and hot places haha... But when I do come, I'll let you know! (If I still know how to contact you by then d:) xxxxxxx
